Add the banana, strawberries, mango and yoghurt together in a blender and blend until smooth. Add the hempnuts, crushed ice, and agave nectar. blend until smooth. Serve. (We ran out of agave nectar and substituted maple syrup instead - still tasted great, - experiment)
HEMP NUT SCHNITZEL
4 chicken breasts
2 cups bread crumbs
1 cup hempnuts
2 tbl. white flour
sunflower, peanut, or canola oil
Beat the eggs and set aside. Combine bread crumbs with hemp nuts and set aside. Wash the chicken breasts and pat dry with paper towel. Place chicken breasts in plastic bag or between sheets of wax paper and flatten with meat mallet. Dredge the chicken in flour mixed with the salt and pepper, then in the eggs and then in the bread crumb-hempnuts mix. Preheat the oven to 180C (350F). Heat oil in a frying pan and fry each piece of chicken until golden brown... transfer to a heatproof platter and finish cooking in oven for another 12 minutes.... serve with potatoes,rice or pasta.

This recipe is so easy
Makes 2-3 dozen
Combine the hemp nuts and eggs in a small bowl then sprinkle 3 tablespoons of white flour at a time over the mix. Use your hands to combine the mixture until it just comes together. The mixture should not be wet. If necessary, add a little more flour. Transfer the dough ball to a lightly floured work surface and roll it out with a rolling pin to a 1/8 inch thickness. Using a paring knife , cut it into long thin triangles. heat the peanut oil in a medium saucepan. Place the strips in the oil one at a time. Fry for 2 to 3 minutes, until golden brown. Season to taste with salt and pepper and remove to paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve
You wouldn't believe you could make cheese from hemp. Well you can and here's how you do it.
Yields 1 cup
Place the warm water and hemp nuts in a blender and puree for at least 3 minutes. Drain through a fine seive. Reserve the milk and discard the solids. Place the hemp milk, salt, and cumin in a saucepan and bring to a simmer. As the milk simmers it will begin to curd. Allow the process to continue until most liquid has evaporated. Strain through a fine seive. Push the curd through the seive....Once the curd is completely dry, place it in a container lined with plastic wrap. Place a heavy weight on top to press the curd. Refrigerate for at least 24 hours.
Yields 6 cups
Preheat oven to 300 F (142 C)-Grate orange peel to yield 4 tablespoons of zest. Be careful not to grate the white pith. It leaves a bitter taste. Combine zest, coconut, cinnamon, hempnuts, pecans, dates and rolled oats. Over a low heat, combine butter, brown sugar and maple syrup. Mix sugar butter mixture with dry ingredients making sure that the dry is fully coated with the mixture. Spread the mixture evenly over a cookie sheet. Place in oven for 30 minutes until the granola is aromatic and dry. Serve with fresh fruit, yogurt, milk or any fruit juice of your choice.
This recipe is easy to do and when served with maple syrup it is exquisite.
Mix together all the dry ingredients, add the eggs and yogurt. If the mixture is too thick add a little milk or water. Let stand for 10 minutes. Add oil to a skillet . Add mixture ( about a ladleful) to hot skillet and turn when bubbles form on top. Just like regular pancake mix.. When cooked add the maple syrup, some jam, or fresh fruit slices and top with whipped cream. To die for.
Makes 1 Loaf
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease and flour a 9 x 5 -inch loaf pan. Beat the bananas, eggs, vegetable oil and milk with a wire whisk until well blended. Stir in the white and hemp flours, sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined. Add the chocolate chips and hempnuts and pour the entire mixture into the prepared pan. Bake for 65 minutes or until you are able to insert a toothpick in the centre and it comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Remove bread from pan and cool on a wire rack.
